Every learner is different, and the ways in which we learn are complex and variable. Learners are most responsible for their own learning and must have agency to chart their own course, and feel safe and supported in doing so. Educators need to support learners in this journey through their pedagogy, use of tools and technology, and design of the learning environment.
When students are engaged in work that has an audience and impact outside of their classrooms, they are more motivated to persist in overcoming learning challenges.
