Integrating Science with Mathematics and Engineering: Linking Home and School Learning for All Young Learners

This early learning project brings together public preschool teachers, families from historically excluded communities, media and curriculum designers, and early childhood researchers to co-design a preschool STEM program that connects home and school learning and builds on Black and Latinx families' funds of knowledge. Through a series of design-based research studies the team is exploring how (1) science can be promoted in authentic ways, (2) STEM disciplines can be meaningfully integrated with each other and (3) technology can be uniquely leveraged to support early STEM teaching and learning.
