Mathematics Educational Technology Evaluation Research
Adaptive math education technology products have demonstrated promise in helping students with unfinished learning. Yet the relative benefits of different approaches to adaptivity are understudied. Digital Promise is partnering with project leaders at MDRC to conduct a large-scale, national evaluation project, the ReSolve Math Study, funded by the U.S. Department of Education’s Institute of Education Sciences. This evaluation will examine the effectiveness of adaptive math education technology products that deliver different catch-up strategies in elementary schools. Findings will provide valuable evidence, especially for low-performing schools identified under the Every Student Succeeds Act and students who have been historically excluded.
