Towards an Evidence Framework for Emerging Educational Technologies

This report summarizes the activities of a two-day workshop held in January 2026, which convened 36 educators, technology innovators, researchers, and funders to re-frame how evidence for emerging technologies is generated and used. The workshop aimed to stimulate discussion, imagine new evidence frameworks, and establish a common language across the educational ecosystem. This brief highlights alternative visualizations of evidence, articulates key tensions, and suggests starting points for future work.
