League of Innovative Schools Fall 2026 Convening

  • November 3: 12:00 PM EST
  • November 5: 12:00 PM EST

Tempe, Arizona

League of Innovative Schools superintendents are invited to join us for our biannual League of Innovative Schools Fall Convening, an immersive, peer-driven experience designed to accelerate systems-level innovation in the nation’s most forward-thinking districts.

Designed exclusively for League superintendents and hosted by League member system Arizona State University Preparatory Academy (ASU Prep), this experience offers a unique opportunity to see innovation in action; connect directly with peers who understand your challenges, ambitions, and commitment to innovation; and apply what you learn to your district’s priorities.

Immersive School Visits

Step into classrooms and learning environments across ASU Prep to observe how their system operates. Engage directly with learners, educators, and leaders, and participate in a structured debrief session to translate observations into actionable next steps.

Collaborative Problem- Solving Sessions

Work alongside fellow League leaders to surface and address nuanced challenges you’re facing. These sessions are designed to be highly hands-on and action-oriented, ensuring you leave with practical, peer-tested strategies.

ASU Prep Deep-Dive Sessions

Go beyond observation in small-group breakout sessions with ASU Prep leaders to unpack how their system works. Ask questions and explore what it would take to adapt these approaches to your context.

Opportunities to Connect

Build and strengthen relationships across the League through intentionally designed networking moments, including two evening receptions. Leave with stronger connections, clearer strategies, and renewed momentum.

Arizona State University (ASU) Prep Academy

As the K-12 arm of Arizona State University, America’s most innovative university nine years running, ASU Prep doesn’t just talk about college readiness; we build it into every grade. We serve more than 10,000 full-time students across our academies and an additional 15,000 through partnerships in 31 states and 15 countries. We believe all kids can, so we architect and incubate new models for the wide variety of students who deserve better preparation for the future of work. That’s how programs like Khan World School at ASU Prep—our global online high school with Khan Academy, connecting driven learners worldwide through Socratic, mastery-based seminars—and The Levitt Lab, where students take the lead in self-directed, passion-driven learning, come to life here.

At ASU Prep, K-12 and higher ed aren’t two separate systems handing students off. They’re one continuous pathway. Our students learn in person, online, or in hybrid models, all connected to the faculty, facilities, and academic standards of a major research university. They graduate with ASU college credit, university experience, and a runway into whatever comes next.

ASU Prep is the front door to a university that believes brilliance is everywhere—and the credentials, mentorship, and momentum to prove it should be too.

Welcome to school, redesigned.

Hosting the League of Innovative Schools at ASU Prep is a real honor. We exist inside Arizona State University because we believe the future of school won’t come from any single district or state—it comes from rooms like this one. We’ll open every door we have this week, across our in-person, digital, hybrid, and partnership models. School redesign is dynamic by definition, and we’re a work-in-progress too. Welcome to ASU Prep. Let’s get to work.

District Pride Points

  • All ASU Prep programs offer students a direct pipeline to higher education. Students across the network have the unique opportunity to earn concurrent Arizona State University credits at no cost (the tuition is covered by ASU Prep), allowing them to graduate high school with a significant head start on their college degree and a familiar footprint in the Sun Devil ecosystem.
  • The Class of 2026 (about 902 students from eight high schools within the ASU Prep network) is on track to earn 9,954 college credits and more than $24 million in scholarships.
  • ASU Prep Phoenix was the only high school in Arizona named a 2025 School of Excellence in ACT’s American College Application Campaign (ACAC). This campus graduated almost two dozen students with their associate’s degree in the Class of 2026.
  • ASU Prep, in partnership with ASU and the Arizona Department of Education, is helping offset the state’s teacher shortage with academic support.
  • Students at ASU Prep Polytechnic are receiving revolutionized industry training thanks to ASU’s new manufacturing school.
