Instructional Coaching for Tech-Enhanced Approaches to Mathematics, Learning Sciences Research
iCoachTEAM offers a collection of math-specific coaching resources created to support teachers in implementing high-quality math instruction by using technology to promote conceptual understanding and conduct formative assessment.
The iCoachTEAM resources are designed to be used on their own or in combination with a subject-agnostic coaching model when focusing on math instruction. Resources are organized according to common activities that happen throughout a coaching process—from getting started and setting goals to implementing new strategies and reflecting—regardless of the model being followed.
Resources in the Get Started section are helpful at the beginning of a coaching process and can be used on their own or in combination with a subject-agnostic coaching model when focusing on math instruction.
Resources in the Create a Goal and a Plan section help keep the focus of coaching on high-quality mathematics instruction as the teacher sets a goal and chooses a strategy.
Resources in the Implement the Plan section are helpful when implementing the chosen strategy in the classroom and can be used on their own or in combination with a subject-agnostic coaching model.
The guide in the Reflect section helps coaches and teachers reflect on their use of the iCoachTEAM resources throughout and at the end of a coaching process, whether using the resources on their own or in combination with a subject-agnostic coaching model while focusing on math instruction.
