Scaling Career Pathways Statewide: A Blueprint for Creating K-12 + Postsecondary + Industry Pathways

The work to scale career pathways from K-12 to employment across a region or state requires policy, funding, capacity and incentives to effectively engage education ecosystem partners. This blueprint, developed based on work led by the Digital Promise Center for Learner Pathway Innovations, offers an understanding of how states, regions, K-12, postsecondary and industry can collaborate to build a sustainable infrastructure. For each type of partner, we outline the core components, strategic questions and what must be true. And, it includes a learner journey and school systems journey map which help ecosystems design the levers that will support learner success.
